Along with specific requirements for any major, all students in the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree programs must meet all general education and graduation requirements under a single catalog.

The prerequisite for ART 345 (ARCH 345) necessitates either Old or New Testament required credits be fulfilled through ARCH 211 or ARCH 213.
Students are advised that ART 494 (494-1 for Art History concentration) is offered alternate years in the Fall so should be taken in the junior or senior year.
Please note: Art History courses ART 251 & ART 351 are offered each year. They are taught sequentially, spanning two semesters and taking them in order is recommended. ART 352 & ART 353 are offered every other year. They are also taught sequentially, and taking them in order is recommended. Students are encouraged to take both sets of courses (ART 251 & ART 351; ART 352 & ART 353) in different years.
A reading knowledge of two foreign languages is recommended for students who anticipate graduate study.
Department Honors in Art History are granted upon the successful completion of a senior thesis through enrollment in ART 498 and ART 499.
