Along with specific requirements for any major, all students in the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree programs must meet all general education and graduation requirements under a single catalog.

 Requirements for the Economics major are 38 hours in the department, including the following:

Students must also take MATH 231 Calculus I. Additional math courses beyond MATH 231 are recommended. Seniors are required to take a comprehensive examination. A maximum of six hours of combined internship and independent study can be applied to the major.
