Students completing the Liberal Arts/Nursing program will receive two degrees—a Bachelor of Arts or Sciences from Wheaton and the appropriate professional nursing degree from the nursing school (B.S.N., M.S.N.). Three years are spent at Wheaton in the pursuit of general education and prerequisite courses for nursing education. The Liberal Arts Nursing majors must then attend an accredited nursing program (Bachelor's level or higher). Wheaton has a formalized agreement with Indiana Wesleyan University for students to apply to enter the Accelerated BSN program and complete the nursing degree requirements in sixteen months. The second formalized agreement with Elmhurst University for students to apply to enter the Master's of Science in Nursing program. This program takes two years. Students are welcome to apply and transfer to a different CCNE or NLAC-accredited baccalaureate nursing program and complete the BSN.
