The Performance Certificate in a Second Applied Instrument is designed for Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Performance candidates with a declared Primary Instrument who desire intensive study in an additional instrument. Prerequisites: Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Performance degree candidate; Audition Jury in both instruments.
Requirements for a Performance Certificate in a Second Applied Instrument are 22 credits, as follows:

In addition to the 16 MUIP credits specified above, organ students must take MUMS 349 and MUCS 331 for their other 6 credits to meet the required total of 22 for the certificate. They will not take MUMS 321 or the additional Music Elective that other students take.
Students must declare this certificate no later than four semesters from the end of their degree program (i.e. no later than their fifth semester).
